We now have 8 states that recognize that LGBT Americans ought to have equal rights.

By the expected margin of 25-22, the Maryland Senate has PASSED its marriage equality bill. Gov. Martin O'Malley has pledged to make Maryland the EIGHTH state with same-sex marriage.

Thank you Maryland
We raise our glasses and toast to you and welcome you into the list of civilized, egalitarian states.

  1. Good for them! Our fat ass Republican embarassment of a Governor vetoed our bill here in New Jersey.
