Regardless of your insistence,
our Founding Fathers wanted a separation between the church and state.
If you want
to change that and want a theocracy, then you will have to amend the
Constitution. Good luck on that.
The CHRISTIAN religion is a RELIGION
with many denominations; granted, America’s population is predominantly
Christian, but that does not mean that our government and our country should be
designated as such. The long standing concept that our FOUNDING FATHERS laid
out for us was one in which no religion should be established or favored over
the other…and that includes CHRISTIANITY.
It is bad
enough that our currency already reflects this DEISM with the phrase “IN GOD WE
TRUST” and the words “UNDER GOD” were added to the pledge of allegiance. These
fanatical Christians will not be happy until we have a repressive
THEOCRACY…with all the bells and whistles of a TYRANNY.
Would it hurt you to
learn your own language?

I say, if
they are so keen on living under a theocracy, why don’t they all pack their
bags and move to Iran…hell, we will even chip in with tax payer’s dollars to
buy them a first class ticket.
If it wasn’t
so important to have a distinct separation of church and state we would not
have the FIRST AMENDMENT to the Constitution…perhaps some of these
Christianist-Dominionists should take the time and read it, or
is that asking too much…just take a couple of hours away from reading their
bible that is erroneously interpreted by their churches. Just like Jewish
chicken soup…it can’t hurt.
Let’s spare
them the time and trouble to actually read the Constitution…here it is in black
red and white – THE FIRST FUCKING AMENDMENT:

America’s

church and the state. This is understood by everyone because this prohibition
against government regulation, endorsement or subsidy of religion would
actually favor one denomination over the other and in America a myriad of
faiths have flourished and thrived because of it.
It is not a
secret that James Madison, the very man who wrote the Constitution, remarked
after observing that “religious devotion of the people has been manifestly
increased by the total separation of the church from state.” The founders also
mandated the strict separation of church and state. Largely because of this
prohibition against government regulation or endorsement of religion, diverse
faiths have flourished and thrived in America since the founding of the
republic. Indeed, James Madison, the father of the United States Constitution,
once observed that "the [religious] devotion of the people has been
manifestly increased by the total separation of the church from the
state."
Violations of
the Separation of Church and State
Besides the
obvious religious message in our currency and the pledge of allegiance there
are others just as egregious and odious:
- An Alabama judge regularly opens his court sessions with a Christian prayer. Further, he has refused to remove a plaque containing the Ten Commandments from his courtroom wall. Alabama Governor Fob James has threatened to call in the Alabama National Guard to prevent the plaque's removal.
- Local municipalities have erected nativity scenes, crosses, menorahs and other religious symbols to the exclusion of those of other faiths.
- The Board of Aldermen of a Connecticut city has opened its sessions with a prayer that beseeches citizens to "elect Christian men and women to office so that those who serve will be accountable. . . to the teachings of Jesus Christ. . . ."
- A variety of religious groups are demanding that their faith-based social service programs receive public funding although these programs engage in aggressive proselytizing and religious indoctrination.
- On the "National Day of Prayer," local authorities acting in their official capacities have led citizens in sectarian prayer.
Let’s make one thing clear: THIS IS NOT A WAR
AGAINST RELIGION as these Christianists would have you believe, it is about the
freedom of religion and the freedom from religion.
