10-31– GOING HOME - I'M FROM TEXAS, YA'ALL

I'm from Texas and I fuck cowboys...I ride them or they ride me...sometimes they fuck me too.

Going home- by Richard de Orizaba

On my drive back to my bayou house near Galveston, I couldn’t help but admire the beauty of the Texas countryside. There is a variety of wildflowers like the Indian paint brush that only grow at certain times of the year..

There are those who say that Texas is not one of our most photogenic places or the prettiest. I hate to disagree. There are certain times of the year when this is true, but when the wildflowers are in bloom, no other place on earth rivals it.

You may think all those negative things about Texas, and a lot of those thoughts are not unfounded, like the present Governor being an asshole.

But for me, for example, there is no more comfortable footwear than the Western boot. There hasn’t been a time in my life when I have not own at least two pairs. Now, I own a couple of hundred. My houseboy is always kidding me saying that I put Imelda Marcos to shame.

I do have a favorite pair even though I just bought three new pairs. But I am looking forward to getting back to cruising that shit kicker bar in Houston. The cowboys there are divine. My boots are just part of the drag.

I may be biased, since I was born in Texas. But to me the cowboy holds a certain attraction, a mystique that is unique and quite sensual. Through the years, from my adolescence and my sexual experiences involving male cowboys, I can’t help but have a soft spot in my heart and a hard spot in my crotch for them.

There is an underlying current of machismo, a predominant butch theme to the persona of the cowboy. These are usually guys who are not fastidious about their appearance, oftentimes they will much rather go scruffy or without a shower and that makes them so much more alluring. The antiseptic, smooth shaven and Europe runway model image is not that of the cowboy.

But a cowboy has to be real, not a poser. Texas has far too many of those, all wearing the cowboy drag yet they have never set a foot outside of their urban environment. Hell, some of them are not even from Texas.

Now, I can wear the cowboy drag because my family is rural, very rural. We had a house in town yet our family homestead was just outside the city of Eagle Pass and the rest of the properties in Mexico. True, we don’t have cattle as our business although we have some for milk and horses to get us around. We are in the business of growing grapes. That does not mean that we don’t know how to ride a horse.

  1. I was down in Texas in '09 browsing around this gift shop when these two hot looking biker guys came in wearing chaps. I almost instictively fell to my knees when I saw them.
