THROWING A WRENCH INTO THE WHEELS OF CAPITALISM

Just like the oil that prevents friction, capitalism needs regulations or it would grind to a halt like the wheels in any mechanism.

What Republican-Teahadists don’t understand.

When you are responsive to only that segment of the population that has the wealth you are bound to hurt those who are below them and don’t have much. Republicans can’t grasp that idea and it has been reinforced even more by a failed ideology from a failed President: Ronald Reagan.

Decades later there still are a very significant number of people, mostly within the ranks of the Republican Party that believe wholeheartedly some of the axioms that President Reagan embraced. While it has been proven time and time again that TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS doesn’t work and never will, there are a couple more themes that Reagan pushed…that one of “Government is the problem” and “Government is too big”; those too are very erroneous concepts because our government is as big as it needs to be considering we are the number one world superpower and then the concept that government is the problem only applies when Republicans are heading it because they are in reality more radical than the most leftist leaning liberal…when Republicans gain any power as we have seen with the Congressional majority they have; they will push ideological agendas contrary to the wishes of the majority of the people and much to their detriment.

And make no mistake about it; the oil that keeps the FREE ENTERPRISE from grinding to a halt are regulations. They exist for the simple reason that even though the FREE ENTERPRISE system is the best economic model...it has to have regulations or greed will take over and destroy even the very system that allows it to make profits.
