Republicans, how do I hate thee, let me count the ways.
If the 2010 election taught us anything is that the American voter went to the polls and expressed their desire for jobs and to improve the economy. The voters did not bargain for a continuation of the delays, obstruction and overt sabotage the Republicans had been engaged in for the past two years. What stands even clearer is that when those voters spoke through the polls it wasn’t for the Republicans to interpret their intent to conduct either a CULTURE WAR or a CLASS WAR…this was the furthest thing from everyone’s minds.
But let the chips fall where they may and now that the bandido has been unmasked we see what the Republican-Teahadists are really all about and what their aim is: To destroy job growth, to compromise economic growth and to make people as miserable as possible in the hopes that their frustrations would translate into a victory in 2012.And as Speaker Boehner puts it: “If we lose 700,000 jobs, SO BE IT”
But the American people, as naïve and uninformed as they have been traditionally; could be gullible and vote irresponsible only for so long and be fooled one too many times. This is where the Republicans stand presently; this is the reality they are going to have to face in 2012.
It takes testicular fortitude to divorce themselves from the mess they created; it takes a perverse agenda to not even help in cleaning up that mess and help to get the country on a prosperous track. Furthermore, the Republicans have embarked on a scorch-earth attack on the middle class and the poor.
Suffice it to say that the Republican-Teahadists had already alienated Blacks, Hispanics, Gays and women. Then came their attacks on labor unions and Planned Parenthood which is nothing less than a direct affront and attack on women’s reproductive rights and to deny millions of some basic health care.
All the while, the Republican-Teahadists keep insisting in playing this game of Russian roulette where the very rich and the corporations get tax breaks they don’t need and deserve even less. The immorality of that ideology has now been placed into question.
Let’s see now; BLACKS, HISPANICS, GAYS, WOMEN, UNION MEMBERS, SENIORS, COLLEGE STUDENTS, MUSLIMS, GUN CONTROL ADVOCATES, THE UNEMPLOYED, HOME FORECLOSURE VICTIMS, PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS AND SAVINGS IN THE WALL STREET CRASH, THE DISABLED AND THOSE WHO ARE HANDICAPPED…and the list goes on.
In view of this, we can only ask ourselves this question: Who are the Republican-Teahadist left with? And the answer may be so brief: Fundamentalist-Evangelicals and the very wealthy and corporations…period, that’s it.
So in conclusion, let’s see what the elections will tell us in 2012; because if I am right the devastating defeat of any and all Republicans is going to happen…not if but when. The American people will be so energized, so pissed off at Republicans that their overwhelming and crushing defeat will be a train wreck of gargantuan proportions.Wisconsin demonstrations have shown us but a small sample of Americans taking the bull by the horn...or the Elephant by its trunk as the case may be

Progressive Caucus People's Budget FY12 Memorandum
Eliminates National Deficit by 2021
Progressive Caucus co-chairs Raúl M. Grijalva and Keith Ellison sent a memo to House Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen April 6 outlining the Caucus' top budget priorities. The letter and attached budget information are available at this link. An op-ed by Dr. Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia University endorsing the People's Budget is available at this link (off-site).

• Both outlays and revenue equal 22.3% of GDP by 2021.
