Not only do they have erroneous interpretations of the Scriptures but by virtue of the hatred they spit out they are less Christians than those they condemn.

I think most everyone will agree with me that it is very repugnant to see this asshole Rev. Phelps carrying signs and protesting at the funeral of a brave fallen American soldier. This is of course an extreme and we all consider this publicity seeking douche bag a certifiable nut. But isn’t that just an extreme manifestation of what is the general ideology of these Fundamentalist Evangelicals? Of course, asshole Phelps doesn’t have access to a microphone at a funeral but if he did, it would be like what happened at David Kato’s funeral in Uganda.
They execute gays by hanging in many Muslim countries
Don’t be fooled by what they tell you…their defense and worn out line is:”we love the sinner, but hate the sin”. That is in a nutshell not just an insult but an attempt to make homosexuality something shameful and sinful. Of course it matters not to them that they cherry-pick only passages of the Scriptures that justifies their bigotry and ignorance and all the others are flushed down the toilet.

Iran punishes gays with public lashing
When I read about the horrible death gay activist David Kato had I was angry. When I read about the incident that took place at the funeral…I was steaming mad…pissed off and indignant. These self anointed messengers of God have taken upon themselves to speak for the Creator and to sit in judgment of others without taking into consideration that what they are doing is far more odious and certainly not acceptable in the eyes of the Creator; if one was to assume this supreme entity was watching our every action.

Sadly, there is a connect…a link to all this homophobia that is being unleashed in Uganda and it falls squarely on the shoulders and if they had a conscience…of the “C Street-Brotherhood” that not only has supported the Evangelical movement and homosexual witch-hunt in Uganda but they keep sending money and “advisers” over there to give validation to an odious and blatant violation of human rights.
Make no mistake about it…one of the Fundamentalist Evangelicals most important items in their crusade to turn America into a theocracy is the criminalization of homosexuality. If that will ever come to fruition; you may very well see situations similar to what happened to David Kato in Uganda.

Slain Ugandan gay activist David Kato

“Violence Erupts at Kato Funeral
A local pastor attending Friday’s funeral for murdered Ugandan LGBT activist David Kato grabbed the microphone in the middle of the ceremony and decried homosexuality, causing a fight to break out and leading villagers to refuse to bury the body.
During the funeral in Mukono, Uganda, which was attended by about 300 people, according to Reuters, the pastor grabbed the mike and began screaming, provoking strong reaction from Kato’s friends.
"The world has gone crazy," the pastor said. "People are turning away from the scriptures. They should turn back; they should abandon what they are doing. You cannot start admiring a fellow man."
As he screamed, “It is ungodly,” gay activists stormed the pulpit and grabbed the mike. They were wearing T-shirts featuring Kato's face with sleeves with gay pride colors.
"Who are you to judge others?" a female activist yelled. "We have not come to fight. You are not the judge of us. As long as he's gone to God his creator, who are we to judge Kato?"
Villagers then refused to bury Kato’s body, leading his friends to carry the body to his grave and bury it themselves.
Kato was the advocacy officer for Sexual Minorities Uganda. He was found brutally beaten to death Wednesday at his home.
He was one of many gay Ugandans threatened with death on the cover of Rolling Stone newspaper in October.
Most people in America are not even aware of the extent of the involvement these fanatical Evangelical groups in America have to the homophobia in Uganda. They have in the past and continue to do it to this day like n March 2009…three Americans spoke to hundreds of people in Kampala about homosexuality. One of them was Scott Lively, who told the group: “The gay movement is an evil institution. The goal of the gay movement is to defeat the marriage-based society and replace it with a culture of sexual promiscuity.”
Lively, who declined an interview, heads Abiding Truth Ministries, a conservative evangelical group in Massachusetts that claims people can be healed from homosexuality. On that same trip, Lively met with members of Uganda’s Parliament, and a few months later, Parliament member David Bahati introduced a bill that would impose the death penalty on gays.
“I am trying to make sure there is a way to protect our children and make sure our traditional family, the culture that we believe in, is not polluted,” Bahati said in an interview.

I have yet to see or be shown any passages where Jesus condemned or admonished homosexuals. The children, the children…that is the same crap Anita Bryant was peddling to America back in the seventies. Every time I hear anybody use “protect the children” I have a nauseous reaction because those are code words the ultra-right Fundamentalist Christian-Evangelical douche-bags use to secretly convey a message to their choir of awe stricken, obedient idiots that have chosen to wallow in a mud puddle of ignorance and superstition.
