On my last visit to Brazil I was at the home of a friend visiting his mother who had invited me to dinner. It was in Niteroi; across Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro. The television was on because she would be watching this soap opera while she did the cooking and we downed a couple of Brahmas.
I nearly fell off the chair when I first saw Diego Cristo. Paulo’s mom even noticed my lust and my interest and she said: “Oh, that’s Diego Cristo…with a Christ like that it is easy to believe in him” Cristo in Portuguese means Christ so there are a lot of play on words that his fans use as you can imagine; like: “Only Christ saves”, etc.

From age 14 Diego became a jock, an accomplished athlete and then went into modeling. He graced the catwalks in Milan and Barcelona representing famous designers like Valentino and Carlo Pignatelli.
Upon his return to Brazil he did several commercials and then got a starring role in the soap opera “The Color of Sin”. After that he was in several other roles that have made him the most promising of Brazilian actors…certainly the most admired by women and gays alike.
