WE NEED TO HAVE COMPETITION

THIS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING ALREADY

What I am about to propose is pure unadulterated SOCIALISM. But I can’t think of a better solution to some of the problems that are plaguing our country today. We have to clearly establish real competition. So if you look at it from another angle…we would be reinforcing one of the most intrinsic and important aspects of free enterprise: COMPETITION.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PUBLIC HEALTH CARE (USAPHIC) We should have a Presidential decree that would create an insurance entity that will offer everyone coverage for their health insurance with a Public Option included. This would work as a complimentary side alternative to private insurance that everyone in America should be allowed to join if they are uninsured or have lost their coverage, or their insurance premiums have risen to unreasonable, non-competitive levels.

The program would be financed by taxes on the profits of insurance companies, at an established level of 15% and anything above that would be taxable. Also insurance companies should be forced to spend 85% of all their premium proceeds to be spent on health care, not profits to the stockholders or salaries and bonuses to their management.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PUBLIC ENERGY CORPORATION (USAPEC) We should form and start operating immediately an energy enterprise to compete with gasoline, power companies and have all the proceeds or profits go to pay off our national debt and another portion to develop and institute alternative sources. We should refit all internal combustion engines to run on ethanol, give a tax credit and help private homeowners install solar panels and we should also expand the wind fields and hook them up to the grid. This has to be done within a couple of years, not longer.

The gasoline would be sold in gas stations across the country but they will also have pumps dispensing ethanol. All profits should be re-invested in energy alternatives and to pay the national debt.

The way I see it, if the profit motive is taken out and all profits are actually really invested on alternative sources rather than a perception or a smoke screen by the oil companies telling the public that they are actually energy conservationists, green if you will when just the opposite is true.

THE BANK OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (BUSA) Since the banks have taken taxpayer’s funds to reinvest and speculate and taking it out of circulation to be loaned out, it is clear that we need an institution that would lend money to small business and individuals. Since there is no incentive to give profits to shareholders, these profits would be re-circulated in the form of loans.
