IN RESPONSE TO A COMMENT SHE REFUSED TO PUBLISH
June is Pride Month and I can’t think of a better post to drive home the point that we should be proud, unashamed and assertive about who we are and what we are.
Oh, the fucking
Morons Mormons, Evangelicals and religious fanatics who used to make us hang our heads in shame are no longer succeeding doing that…and they are pissed; they want to continue the old practices of discrimination and humiliation in the name of religion. But it is not working that way anymore. Long gone are the days when we had to hide in the closet, afraid of being found out, being “outed” because the repercussions were very harsh. We would lose our jobs, our families would disown us and the society in general would relegate us to the fringes without rights and all sorts of social procrastination.
Today I am a volunteer for Equal Rights at the booth in the Wilton Manors Gay Pride Celebration. Not that I think that I am contributing much because everyone there will be either gay or gay friendly. The homophobes and religious fanatics will be in their suburban homes just coming back from church where the clergy would have possibly spewed out a lot of hatred and inflammatory rhetoric against gay people and what is going on across the country.
It is possible that these fucking breeders will not even be aware that Gay Pride took place, let alone what we as a very cohesive and united group of people are saying. We have a message for them: We are proud, we are here and we are queer; so live with it.
I read some garbage in http://mormonsarechristian.blogspot.com/
and I was so appalled by the premise that gays were inferior and not deserving marriage equality that I answered with a comment. They no longer have that post in view, they must have taken it down.
The religious fanatic lady answered back: “we can’t publish your comment, you need to tone it down and not be so insulting”
Tone it down, right?
When you have lived as long as I have, you have earned the right to be as opinionated, outspoken, cantankerous and indignant as you need to be. If I were to “tone it down” I would be adhering to her standards and therefore admitting that she even has a valid point of view.
I just wonder if Morons Mormons fanatics like her would “tone it down” if they were prohibited from marrying, denied jobs, visitation rights and a thousand other civil rights heterosexuals enjoy. I just want to make sure you understand that it is your religion that is being hurtful to gays and detrimental to society and there is nothing Christian about hatred and taking rights away from people…think what Jesus would say to you.
It is a sign of a destructive imbalance when you vilify others for your own deviant behavior, and wrap yourself in the mantle of victimhood when people fight back against your aggressions. All deviant minority groups are trained in this mental combat technique, and the Mormons are quick to employ it. I have been witness to countless Mormons start their little victimhood routine, which I usually squash real quick.
So, in answer to your request:
NO, I WILL NOT TONE IT DOWN, I WILL BE AS INDIGNANT AS I NEED TO BE; YOU ARE THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO TONE DOWN YOUR FANATICISM AND YOUR HOMOPHOBIA. STOP TRYING TO TAKE AWAY OUR RIGHTS, JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE AN ERRONEOUS INTERPRETATION OF THE SCRIPTURES IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THAT RIGHT; MY DIGNITY AND MY RIGHTS ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE.
