Public Option may have a chance of passing.

The possibilities of passing a comprehensive, utilitarian Health Care bill which includes a Public Option has improved tremendously. Now there is a glimmer of hope as millions of Americans have communicated to their elected officials that this is the way to go, the only way to go.
The so-called “Blue Dog Democrats” are coming to the conclusion that it is not worth selling your soul to the devil and that even if they have received great amounts in the form of contributions to their political campaigns, the money is going to dry up once the bill passes. The Insurance and Pharma companies are not going to continue giving them money either way.
The Republicans are in a more awkard position: they know that they are going to be in the wrong side of history and if the Democrats are successful in coalescing and actually voting as a united vote, they will get it passed and Republicans are going to be left holding the bag. I think they too feel a little remorse for being against the very people who elected them and know that they have sold their integrity for a few lousy, stinking, fucking dollars.
