Golden Parachutes, outrageous bonuses


GOLDEN PARACHUTES, MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR BONUSES UPON TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT
I have not heard anybody touch upon this and look at it in a different light. But I like to offer a different point of view and one that may be very valid.
Since all of these CEOs and high ranking executives get these very generous, sometimes obscene separation packages upon leaving a company; these “golden parachutes” and bonuses have nothing to do with performance or how well the corporation does. These sons of bitches get their rewards regardless because of the contractual obligations they have successfully negotiated.
My theory is this: Wouldn’t it be the case that some of these executives would actually precipitate the demise of a company in order to get their rewards right away rather than working their asses off for the next twenty years? This is something that has to be considered and even investigated.
The choices are so obvious: They can get a million and a half a year and work like dogs, or they can get forty million and retire to their place in the Hamptons. Which would you chose?
