Boy, I’m looking forward to this Sunday; that is when Rachel Maddow will be on “Meet the Press”. It is a first one for her and I am sure she is a little bit nervous, but considering her mettle and her ability to carry herself with dignity, she will be fine, I’m sure.Maddow will join former House Majority Leader Rep. Dick Armey (R-TX), Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), and former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) for an in-depth look at the health care debate. Daschle now serves as an informal adviser to the White House, while Armey now runs FreedomWorks, which has been organizing protesters at the health care town halls.
The curious thing about this situation is that a couple of days ago Rachel unmasked Ton Daschle and exposed his dealings with the FreedomWorks organization and he wa
s either motivated or asked to resign from the law firm where he was employed. One can figure that the conflict of interest or the unwillingness of the law firm to be associated with such a radical group that advocates undemocratic tactics of disruption and boorish behavior. On a more encouraging setting, news broke that several advertisers have pulled out of Beck's show. Procter and Gamble, Lawyers.com, Progressive Insurance, and more declined to be associated with Beck's program after he called President Obama a racist on a July episode of "Fox & Friends."
I am hoping that eventually, people around the country will realize that the protesters, birthers, teabagger, deathers and all around jerks are really a very small minority composed of fringe elements that generally have either little education, are very misinformed or are just there working for the different groups that are originating these protests. But make no mistake about it, these shouting, disruptive hooligans are not spontaneous nor are they independent disgruntled voters. They are motivated by all the hate, the fear mongering and the lies that the Republican party seems to be pandering at the moment. So far, no Republican leader has come out to condemn these activities, just like they didn’t come out to
condemn Rush Bouncy-Bouncy when he said that he wished the President would fail. And I say that if you remain silent, then you are complicit with what is going on.The majority of Americans have already expressed a desire to have meaningful Healthcare Reform. Not only that, but also they want single payer, universal healthcare and that was one of the reasons that voters made it known to Republicans that they wanted change, in healthcare and other issues. So, why is it so hard for people to just support or oppose a piece of legislation based on the legislation itself?" Because Fox News, the Republican party, the neoconservative talking heads, and the PR firms exposed by Rachel are all screaming so loudly, saying such crazy things, and making such a scene that it's impossible to focus on the real issue...and that's what they wanted all along.
One more time, I am going to say this: If a Healthcare Legislation doesn’t get through this time after more than 50 years of waiting, the American public then deserves not to have diddly, they deserve to keep getting nailed by high premiums and having the insecurity of either losing their health insurance or to be denied payment whenever a claim is made. And please, don’t blame Obama for this one, you can just fucking blame yourselves for paying attention to all these talking heads and tuning in to FOX or Rushie Bouncy-Bouncy.

Why is it if these animals of different species can not only get along but they are able to develop relationships? It says a lot for us humans, who being of the same species, can’t get along with each other. Never mind if you introduce some silly difference like different color skin or just being born on one or the other side of a river. What do humans miss? Why can’t we just get along?
