KUDOS FOR BARNEY FRANK

We have tried it the Obama way now comes Barney Frank and does it the way it should be done
Kudos for Barney Frank, he has shown us that the only way to deal with these ignorant dumb shits is to put them in their place. There is no other way as they understand no reason, logic or even adhere to civilized rules of discourse. As Barney Frank said: “Madam, arguing with you is like having an argument with the dining room table: (I paraphrased)
I think that President Obama is far too decent, too accommodating and civil to do this but it is precisely what he needs to do if he wants to be an effective President. He has to abandon at once the illusion that Republicans are going to be bipartisan and that they have anything valuable to contribute to the debate because they don’t. All that Republicans want to do is see him fail to benefit from his failure.

Things have gotten so bad about all the lies and the extent the Republicans are going to misrepresent the Health Care Proposals that the Democrats have been forced to establish a web site: http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/settingtherecord There you will find all the rebuttals and answers you might be looking for. But then again, if you are reading my blog you probably already know all these answers.
Just to give you an idea, they talk about Former Governor Sarah Palin's Outrageous "Death Panel" Comments, False Republican Attacks on Health Insurance Reform, Special Interest Groups' Misinformation Campaign, Viral Chain Emails Filled with Blatantly False Claims and Staged Disruptions Organized by Right-Wing Groups. It deserves a visit in my opinion.
The Republican argument that a "public option" amounts to a government takeover of healthcare. It amounts to saying that a government-administered alternative will maker private insurance useless. But if it happens, they deserve it because the private sector hasn’t been doing such a great job offering universal, inexpensive, high-quality and efficient coverage.

And that a public health plan will take "decisions out of the hands of doctors and patients" and put them in the hands of Washington bureaucrats. These decisions are already in the hands of bureaucrats--only now, the decisions are in the hands of insurance company bureaucrats; some guy sitting in a cubicle in Omaha whose only job is to deny service or payment to those insured and these insurance companies are getting wealthy off our insurance premiums. It is not as if we have much say in our insurance presently--for most people that's decided by someone in their company's finance department who is simply looking at the company’ profits (and that coverage is subject to change whenever the company finds a better deal). Honestly, if they were so concerned about our well-being under a public health plan, why haven't they attacked Medicare and Medicaid? Even if they're not perfect, it's better than nothing! By the way, these programs are SOCIALISM, just like Social Security and the VA. By the way, don’t these same critics have pretty damn good health coverage provided to Washington Bureaucrats in the health insurance programs offered to members of Congress?
